tusk & trunk
tusk & trunk exists to make the elephant community better. A mobile app and responsive website was designed and developed to allow people to learn about the organization, give, and manage their accounts. tusk & trunk users are adults who care about elephants.
Research
Problem: Elephants are classified as an endangered species because there are only 40,000 - 50,000 left living in the wild. tusk & trunk connects the elephants’ needs with people around the world who can help with their resources.
Goal: Design an app and responsive website that allows users to learn more, give intentionally, and connect deeply with elephants and their needs.
Role: UX designer designing the tusk & trunk app and responsive website from conception to delivery.
Responsibilities: Conducting interviews, paper and digital wire framing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, conducting usability studies, accounting for accessibility, and iterating on designs.
Design
Research was used to guide me through paper wireframes, low-fidelity prototypes, high-fidelity prototype, and two rounds of usability research. Findings from the usability research helped guide me in the design.
